Little Rippers

A step up from Mini Nippers, Little Rippers will expand on the surf and splash play for the little ones and begin to develop surf lifesaving skills and surfing technique to give the Rippers total confidence in the water. A fun and epic way to get involved with the surf community, we have no doubt they’ll be hooked on the sport and the sea by the end of their first session.

Building sea confidence starts by play – This surf club will give your Rippers the skills and knowledge they need to be totally confident in and around the surf. With surfing lessons, an introduction to lifesaving skills and an understanding of the beach environment and wildlife, every session will be as thrilling as it is fun.

Everyone that gets involved will be given an in-depth knowledge of water and beach safety. They’ll also have the opportunity to develop their paddling and to catch their first waves.

Parents will still need to supervise the session, but do not have to be in the water (Just on hand by the surf school or beach).

All our clubs are inspired by a desire to build a surf community in and around Whitby, to encourage younger generations to continue to love our beaches, and to be totally accessible for all ages and abilities. Our Little Rippers club is no different. We want to celebrate our surf and beach culture; we believe it’s one of the many things that makes Whitby one of the most beautiful towns in North Yorkshire. The way to achieve this is by developing our younger generations love and knowledge of surf.

Many of our clubs are extremely popular, so we would recommend booking on to your session in advance. Alternatively, if you would like any help or have any questions about special requirements, get in touch for a chat and we’ll see what we can do to help.
