Stand Up Paddleboard Safari
Stand up Paddleboard Safari combines an introduction to paddleboarding with a breathtaking safari along the river Esk.
Take a paddle on the River Esk the river that connects Whitby to the
sea, paddle from Whitby to Ruswarp and back, paddling beside the tracks
of the steam trains, underneath the forgotten viaduct accompanied along
the way by the wildlife that makes this safari so beautiful.
The experience will start off with a short safety brief and on land instruction. Then we will take to the water where you will have the time to get to grips with the paddleboard.
The instructor will be on hand throughout to give you pointers. Then we will begin our trip up the river Esk. We will pass through the marina under the "new bridge", beside us we will have the North Yorkshire Moors Railway and we usually see a steam train go by. We also have the natural beauty and wildlife on the opposite side of the river, we are almost guarunteed to see seals, herons and we have also occasionally seen otters along the way!
We will pass under Whitbys breathtaking viaduct before continuing up to the village of Ruswarp. On the return we will explore the becks and may have some time to explore the lower harbour. Our instuctors are there to help you with your Stand up Paddleboarding as well as giving you fun and informative stories about this hidden gem of Whitby.

Ideally we advise you to arrive 15-20 minutes before your scheduled slot so we can get you fitted into wetsuits etc.
